Trans-Siberian Orchestra Rings in the Holidays in Salt Lake City

November 30, 2023

For nearly three decades the symphonic metal supergroup, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, has been entertaining crowds across the country with their incredible live shows.  This past week they made their return to Salt Lake City for a stop at the Delta Center with their holiday extravaganza, “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve: The Best of TSO and More!” This performance along with their catalogue of holiday rock operas has become the official start to the holiday season for families across the country.  The spectacle has spanned generations of families as parents who grew up listening and watching these performances now bring their children to the shows keeping the holiday tradition alive and well.

Fans packed the Delta Center all day for the twice a day performance of the show.  Everyone was asking each other if they had seen them before and telling the first timers what a treat they were in for.  Trans-Siberian Orchestra has become renowned for their visually stunning live performances with captivating use of lasers and pyrotechnics which keeps the audience in awe.  Besides the visual spectacle what really sets a TSO show apart from others is the world class musicians and vocalists that perform for the group.  Al Pitrelli, the front man of the Western touring group has been a member of renowned bands such as Megadeath and playing the guitar in Alice Coopers band. While the rest of the band reads as a who’s who of rock with names such as Blas Elias, Jeffrey Scott Soto, up and coming vocalist Moriah Formica, who fronts the band Plush and vocal superstar Chloe Lowery.  Lowery is a fan favorite in Salt Lake City with many people saying her voice is their favorite part of the show.  It’s easy to see and hear why when she performs, the moment she starts singing her vocals demands your attention.

Utah is a state that loves their holiday traditions and Trans-Siberian Orchestra has become a permanent fixture of those traditions.  Their shows continue to be a beacon of joy and what the holiday spirit is all about.  Fans from across the state have made this annual holiday show a must-see event for anyone eager to ring in the holiday season and just music lovers in general.

TSO will be on the road throughout the holiday season spreading holiday cheer to families across the US.  Tickets and show info can be found here.
